Hi Kathy! Thanks so much for stopping by my blog. Your photographs are lovely! I love love love Tennessee. My mom was born in Pigeon Forge in 1924. I haven't been there since 1967. I told Glen that I wanted to drive to Memphis and get some good bbq this weekend....LOL.
I found you by way of a message you left on my blog regarding the Shalom Cardigan. I definitely would recommend knitting the sweater for yourself. I have many sweaters that I have knit but never wear. I wear my Shalom at least once a week. It was easy to make and easy to wear. I too am short waisted am 5ft 6 inches tall. My recommendation would be to make the pattern with my mods if your looking to make a long sleeve version. I am a size 4/6 but have very broad shoulders. If you are worried about the top of the sweater fitting I would not worry follow the pattern as written. When it comes to the waist shaping you can decide how many to do. If you have any questions feel free to email me or PM me on Ravelry. I'm knittingnonstop on Ravelry. Can't wait to see your sweater. Dawn
